Q: Why is the Sleepy SMP 18+ only?
A: The shortest answer is to ensure everyone's safety!
We don't want to put any minors in any potentially harmful situations from any bad actors that slip through our cracks. We try our best to vet every person that applies but we understand that it's impossible to dig up every single detail with the hundreds of people that we have to look through.
We also end up having people in the SMP that don't allow minors in their space or produce mixed/ NSFW content. We don't want to introduce minors to those spaces.
On the other end of the line, we also know that some minors struggle with listening to rules or respecting certain boundaries. We hold everyone to the same standards and we don't want to tolerate immaturity. We're not here to babysit anyone or hold hands!Q: Can we donate to help fund the Sleepy SMP?
A: Yes, you absolutely can!
We're a passion project so any and all support helps immensely. We will also be as transparent as possible with any donations we receive.Q: Will my/ all applications guaranteed get approved/ accepted in?
A: Unfortunately, not all applications into the SMP will be accepted for multiple reasons.
One reason is availability. We have limited budgets for each season that cover the cost of just renting the server. The more people you have in a server, the more expensive it will end up being. As this is a passion project, we don't have infinite money to continuously upgrade the server forever. Therefore, unfortunately, we do have to eventually have a cap to the amount of people we can host and let in.
Another reason why applications most likely will get rejected is if they don't meet our minimum criteria.
We have a minimum criteria required to even consider someone as a participant for the SMP. We require every applicant to be at least be 18 years of age and a content creator of ANY time. Anyone who fails to meet at least one of these requirements will get automatically rejected.
We have a good handful of reasons but these are the most likely as to why an application might be rejected.

Q: How does the Sleepy SMP run?
A: The Sleepy SMP is only a passion project at the moment. This means that, unfortunately, there are a lot of limitations.
The Sleepy SMP requires volunteers for its staff team. There are no sponsorships or a budget to cover paying for work done on the SMP.
Dew covers the cost of renting the server for the duration of the SMP. (During Season 2 of the Sleepy SMP, the community wished to extend the SMP for 2 months. These extra 2 months were crowd funded by the community. Any extra money raised went directly to Noxy who was the console admin for Season 2.)
The Sleepy SMP runs on a lot of community support as well as having the limited funding for the server itself. The staff team is usually small but dedicated.Q: How can I help out as a Sleepy SMP staff member?
A: We open applications for volunteer staff members!
We will always announce when we're looking for extra staff or have staff applications open!Q: Can I invite my friends?
A: Yes and no!
You’re more than able to invite your friends to apply into the SMP. As long as applications are open, you can share it around with your friends and encourage them to send in their application!
Unfortunately, we do not allow members to directly invite others into the SMP & dedicated Discord server. All members must go through the proper channels to play on the SMP.Q: Can I apply and join to play/ hang out with my friends even though I don’t produce content?
A: Unfortunately, no. Your application will be rejected.
This project is specifically made for content creators of any type that are above the age of 18. We want to offer them an opportunity to meet others and network while creating memories + friendships they can rely on for future endeavors. We've had people apply to "just hang out" which unfortunately, is not what this project is for. We want to ensure anyone that's an active member and participate can also be vetted for.

Dew, known as "sleepydewpad" online is the founder and host of the Sleepy SMP. They are behind most of the work, promotion, and other thing required to bring the Sleepy SMP to life.
They are usually the one managing the SMP and project as a whole.
The Sleepy SMP is a project that they believe in wholeheartedly. Regardless of some of the hardships that come with taking on such big projects, they believe the good it brings to people out there outweighs any of the bad!
